Neela = PWNED on multiple fronts, with Andrew filling the role of
"Tattles" Carter this week.

Have I mentioned before that I'd love to work somewhere like County,
that seems to have generous policies regarding its employees swanning
off at a moment's notice to go do other things? 'Cos I really really
would. I might not even have to show up there to work at all, and
*still* get paid.

Sad about what happened to Brenner, but FFS. Enough with the angst
buffet. (Granted, it was really quite creepy overlaying his story with
the pervert making his moves on the girl. I have reservations about
the kid having a blog without having already been warned to the point
of paranoia about "friendly" adults, but whatever.)

You're joking, right? He hugged the kid, told her not to tell anyone about
their "relationship", said it was their little "secret", and of course got
beat up by Chris Bruno for prior crimes ... the only thing missing was a big
PERVERT painted across his fucking forehead.

Here's where I think the episode went wrong. The actor who played the
pervert was the gayest guy I've seen since the heyday of Will and Grace.
There's no way he would be going after that little girl. It's even difficult
imagining him actually married to that woman. Catholic priest, sure.
Pedophile lusting after little girls, um, no. Very bad casting move IMO.

The episode went wrong becaue they started to suggest stuff with this
guy but never really folllowed through. So what we saw showed him
doing nothing wrong. Maybe what ER needed this week was for
Stabler to pay a visit to Chicago.

The case against this guy would have been tossed out of court for
lack of a case.

Yeah he may have been a pervert in prior actions but he wasn't in
this case.

He was way pervert. If he was innocent in his intentions he shouldn't
have had a problem with the possibility of the kid mentioning their
"friendship" to her mother - at the very least, get his side of the
story across before she hears about it from someone else and goes
batshit ballistic.

Not at that time. He did nothing what Dr. Gates and Dr. Ross wouldn't
had done. But in the later scene, intercut with Dr. Brenner telling
Morris about his trauma of molestation the guy did put the moves on
the girl. He hugged her and exchanged E-mails and wanted to keep the
relationship from the girl's mother. Most people falsely accused of
molestation don't want to be near children. They are traumatized
themselves. You hear about teachers not hugging kids, keeping the
door open in a room with them and such. It is one of those tragic
ironies. The guilty can't stay away from the kids while the falsely
accused suffer needlessly. A innocent guy wouldn't had hugged her.

What I didn't like about it is that it suggested that Brenner had an
instinctual knowledge about the guy. If he did then why didn't Dr.
Brenner know what the guy was by just looking at him? He didn't
because you can't tell by looks. It was only after what was said
about him did he react. It could had easily been a case of a hyper
sensitive victim projecting his trauma on anyone. At any rate,
Archie's right. He needs heavy consoling. The next guy he just stands
by and let get beat may not happen to be guilty.

I wonder what would have happened to Creepy Teacher Guy's eye if he had
cut the wrong wire and/or his intraocular pressure dropped below 55
miles per hour.

On the serious, the moment Young Doctor Young started going "OMG which
one do I cut which one do I cut!!!?!??!" was one of the few times in
recent memory that I've been thrown into a bout of uncontrollable
laughter at the lamenity of a TV show.

On the double serious, were TEERPTB actually trying to make me care
about the New Interns That Have Like Two Episodes Left Before The Show Ends?

On the triple serious, since when have Young Doctor Young and Abby II
With Glasses been brother and sister?

That would be sweet wouldn't it? Not just you, but your friends too,
you could all just take off in the middle of a shift for a road trip,
searching for drifters, filling in back-story with a bunch of
nobody-cares dialog, solving mysteries.... Ahhh... that would truly be
what the French call "La Dolce Vita".

Oh, and for those keeping score at home: This is the third episode in
the "Uncle Jesse Befriends A Drifter" story arc. Yeah. There's at
least one more episode of this. EERPTB: NOBODY CARES ABOUT UNCLE JESSE,

Plus we got a good beatdown, so it wasn't a total loss. Overall though,
just yet another sub-mediocre outing for the ever-changing stiffs at County.

IMDB has them as Drs Daria and Andrew Wade in their first episode, for
whatever that's worth. Probably a non-subtle "Yes, they have the same
last name. No, they're not married. Wait, what do you mean, you didn't
notice they have the same last name?" move by the writers. Or not.

Ah, that must be the real reason Shaggy wears what looks like a scrub
top: he REALLY works at County, but has been on a field trip with the
gang for the last forty years or so. What sounds better, after all:
tons of scut work involving unpleasant bodily emissions or going
around the country in a van with a talking Great Dane and eating pizza
& smoking pot (all that giggling seems to indicate that he has an in

Many of the people who join the service do it because they really can't
see a future for themselves and need the education and leadership the
services offer them. How many of them would have faced homelessness
or violent death if they hadn't served?

Do not interpret this as belittling what they do. Quite the opposite -
I am very proud that because of their service they gain a future that
they would not have had.

I believe the word you're looking for is "lamenosity", equally shared this
week by drooling pedophile guy, who was made marginally less repellent only
when his eyeball was hanging by a thread, and self-styled heartthrob Stamos,
whose shameless quest for nobility totally shrouded the very real issue
(vets with PTSD) pointed out in the prior post by Mr., um, Glasscock.

FFS -- For Fuck's Sake
PWNED -- It can be pronounced as "owned" or as "poned", with both pronunciations being correct. In
some cases, you will even hear it pronounced as "pawned". "Pwned" means "to be controlled against
your will", or "to be defeated by a superior power". You might also hear the expression, "pwnage",
which is the noun version of "being pwned".

I just didn't think to use Google for that. Sometimes Ellen comes up
