Based on the promo for the upcoming season premiering on September 25, Sam and Abby
survive the blast. Sam by not being in the abulance obviously; the same with Morris
who is also amoung the living. Unfortunately they only showed the promo once but I
think they showed Pratt but he was, IIRC in monochrome, i.e black and white video.
That could be a sign, I am sure, that he is dead, but that is my speculation.

I know, I couldn't believe that promo!! It showed a lot of people
that we had assumed had either been killed or injured in the blast.

Maybe...who didn't like being spoiled while watching the Olympics

The promo department of NBC is to blame for this, not the show's producers. They don't
like it when the network spoil the shows, they dispise it! This is what happened to
the show runners of "Lost" when a promo gave away who were the Oceanic Six who
survived their ordeal on the island in "Lost". The producers of "Lost" let it be
known that they did not like it in their podcast.

The same thing happened to Ronald D. Moore, the producer/writer of "Battlestar
Galactica" when a promo suggested what certain character was the "Fifth Cylon". RDM
in his podcast for his show was PISSED.

Producers and writers HATE this, a promo giving away a very big plot development, as
much as we do, so everyone, don't blame them, blame NBC's promotional department.

But then i'll be watching exactly zero of the olympics so i'll see no
spoilers for ER.

I have noticed ION TV is advertising heavily around here for
ER repeats. (last three seasons?)

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is EXACTLY why NBC shouldn't be pulling
this kind of horsecrap (and that's being EXTREMELY kind!) during the
Olympics. It's bad enough the fucking Olympics are in China, which has
caused some viewers, like me, to at least consider boycotting watching
the Olympics. However... spoiling the season opener of arguably one of
your network's best shows ever, in terms of the number of viewers over
the years (not necessarily quality of the series, mind you), during one
of your network's most important sporting events of the year, is
preposterous. Also, take into account that even though I may not like
it or agree with it, the Olympics IS/ARE going to end up being one of,
if not THE most WATCHED sporting event of the year for NBC, and they're
fucking over the fans of one of their most watched series, ever, by
revealing WAY too much in their promos.

NBC should hang their heads in shame.

It was when D'anna Biers joked to Roslin's face that she was the Fifth Cylon. RDM
didn't like the Sci Fi channel promotional department using that in their promo for
the episode "The Hub". He was pissed off because they did it.
