=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0I haven't posted in awhile. But I've still been
watching. It was about two months before I caught the season ender. A
tornado touched down in our area. The power was off for over 2 days. My
brother taped the show. Sadly, I didn't watch it right away after
getting the tape. There were other things I wanted to see. Also, we've
been disappointed too much.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0This wasn't a great season opener. We need
some rules. =A0 If you know it's the last season, NO new characters can
be added. =A0 An exception is if you're planning a spinoff. =A0 Deep
Space Nine comes to mind. =A0 Did we need another Dax?
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Ironically, Enterprise's last season
was its best. =A0 Dubenko was in an earlier episode. =A0 Someone should
have went ahead and OKed another year. =A0Instead, they ended up with a
sorry finale.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0I was on a job like that once. After our closure
was announced, things got better, at least for me. =A0 TPTB should make
this the best season in a long time. Bring back the old theme song.
Streamline the cast. Use those nurses more. Yes, make at least one a
regular.
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Pratt's death was no surprise. But it remains
sad. The rest of the storyline got dropped. Other folks got killed
instantly. No one wants to visit County when one of their own needs
medical attention. Suppose they got sent elsewhere?
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0I half expected Abby to tell the mother
that her friend was dying elsewhere. Look for this case to bite her
later. =A0 GV should have made another cameo. =A0 Suppose the actors got
paid, when their characters were just mentioned? Sure, writers created
them. =A0 But who doesn't think of the actors in such moments?
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Why was the funeral a week later? =A0 Two days
is the norm around here. It was nice that Carter and Weaver
acknowledged the passing. What about Elizabeth? A week would have
given some time to attend in person. Is there a mailing list for former
County workers?
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0Someone should make a chart. Who worked with who
else? =A0 Would anyone still in Chicago have come? =A0 Chen had a good
relationship with Pratt. Jeannie met him only once. =A0 What about
Benton and Cleo?
We got another unconvincing return. Carol and Ray quit too. I'm
glad to see DuBenko stay. There appears to be an attempt to make
Brennan more likeable. Leave Neela alone! I'd still love to see
Morganstern chew him out.
I'm still not fond of the Tony and Sam romance. What happened
to Sarah and Alex? No, we don't have to see them. Talk about paying
extra for that! Did anyone else detect a smile on Frank? Then we
learned that Pratt was gone.
Morris kind of grows on you. That was some scene with the
ring. Is there any chance of him and Betina getting together? This
show has a wonderfully diverse cast. But does it seem that African
American characters go through a little more stuff?
The hero storyline was nice. I'd still like to see the color guy
return. He'd probably want to see the old gang. One idea needs to be
used. There's a big lack of morale. The administrators keep bringing
in new chiefs.
A lot of other things happened when I didn't post. We got a
John Q ripoff. In real life, there'd probably be a clamor for a
pardon. Luka decked Moretti. Hopefully he takes Abby away. What if
he lost her, and came back?
That tornado did more damage around here than Katrina. I'm glad
that New Orleans got spared with Gustav. But the hurricane did a number
in the Baton Rouge area. Some older folks said that the damage was
worse than Betsy. It was definitely worse than Katrina. Doesn't the
show feel like one big disaster? There's still time to fix things.
What would it take for you to OK another season? Have fun.

Sincerely,
Darren Thornton

I haven't posted in a while either. Good to see ya, Darren! ;-)
Glad you're OK & still kickin'.
This wasn't a great season opener.
No kiddin'!
We need
some rules.   If you know it's the last season, NO new characters can
be added.   An exception is if you're planning a spinoff.   Deep
Space Nine comes to mind.   Did we need another Dax?
I agree. But we still might enjoy Angela Basset's character, tho.
Hey, we'll get to see Mark because of her.
I was on a job like that once. After our closure
was announced, things got better, at least for me.   TPTB should make
this the best season in a long time. Bring back the old theme song.
Streamline the cast. Use those nurses more. Yes, make at least one a
regular.
I would like those things you mentioned up there! :-)
Pratt's death was no surprise. But it remains
sad.
I agree, so sad. I'll miss him. :-(
Why was the funeral a week later?   Two days
is the norm around here.
Had to wait for some family to come in? That happens sometimes.
It was nice that Carter and Weaver
acknowledged the passing.  What about Elizabeth?
I don't know if it lasted (it's been so loooooong) but Elizabeth
didn't like Pratt at first. She reamed him out one time and reamed
him good!
Someone should make a chart. Who worked with who
else?
It would make it easier on us, huh? ;-)
I'm still not fond of the Tony and Sam romance.
Who is?
Morris kind of grows on you.  That was some scene with the
ring.
It was awfully sad.
Is there any chance of him and Betina getting together?
Please no! That would be too creepy. Besides, Pratt had to work
really hard for her to say yes to him, I don't think Morris could do
it.

There's still time to fix things.
No, unfortunately there isn't.

There's an old saying: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to
every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to
pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to
build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time
to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to
speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

A time to beat punks to death with a pipe, and a time to drop the
helicopter."

It's long past time to cast away E.R.'s stones.

Not unlike a good case of zygomycosis.

Eh, I'm holding out for Morris/Banfield snoggage.
