Greene's last episode (On the Beach)

I just saw it. I liked it since I know the characters so well but
others might have found it slow or sappy. The thing about the balloon
at the end was almost generic. But not all the show was like that; in
fact Greene says "shit" in the middle which must have generated some
controversy.

TNT is inserting commercials in the wrong places - why would they do
that?

That was also the final episode with Dr. Benton. Some of it was filmed
right on Waikiki beach.

They certainly created memorable final scenes for him...Mark Greene, that
is...with that bedroom open to the beach. If I am still able to choose by
that time in my life, I wouldn't mind going in a place like that.

I love that they showed Benton. It was annoying that Carrie was so upset
since she was always a complete bitch to him. But a great send off overall
TNT and other networks insert extra commercials. That is why the breaks
arent' what we are used to. They also hack off parts of the show itself.
Other networks do this also, which is why I never watch CSI on Spike. If
there is any extra, screw the story, we need commercial time.

NBC doesn't show the end credits of ER. Isn't that like a major crime
in TV land?

I think Anspaugh came back for Mark's funeral after an absence also.

I don't remember Weaver being nasty to Mark Greene that many times.

Esp good about the few final eps Dr. Greeen was in was the medley
played by the (now deceased) Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo`ole.

(Google is our friend.)

It was a combination of 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' and 'What a
Wonderful World', accompanied I believe on the ukulele.

I taped the ep in order to obtain a copy of the song because (at least
at the time I 1st heard it) my local Tower Records had no such record
in stock.

Just plain "Over the Rainbow" is on "Alone in Iz World."

The "Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World" medley is on "Facing Future."

These are available on Rhapsody. I advise everyone to check it out.
