I hate posting this late after an episode. One reason is that I
needed more batteries for my keyboard. It only takes two AAAs. But
try keeping some around. What's this show's excuse?
Here's another analogy. I recently watched two Elvis movies.
King Creole is considered by many to be his best picture. Spinout is
usually ranked as one of his worst. ER has too often followed good
episodes with bad ones. A great show needs consistent writing. We're
more forgiving of duds if they're rare.
Does anyone think that things would improve if Abby just left
for good? One article said that she needed to get a grip. The blame
can be divided between the writers and MT. I liked her on NewsRadio.
She's had good moments here, but not enough.
Pratt should have known by now. You can't keep secrets in the
ER! I don't condone lying. But shouldn't Abby have gotten more time to
get her story straight? Check on weather conditions in Croatia. Read
Luka's letters for interesting details. She should have went there
before that meeting with the board.
This bunch saw through the holes. Where would they gossip if
the desk was gone? Most of the staff was forgiving. But Sam remained
frosty. Note that Abby didn't answer her question about drinking on the
job. Stay tuned.
Once again, Abby got to be the hero. Is this condition common?
Foster kids get moved around more. But wouldn't a school nurse or
someone else have caught this sooner?
The older girl called her stupid. Was she another foster child,
or bio? Suppose Abby hadn't asked. Would a fireman have come told the
family what happened? That mother sure changed her tune. Those tests
could have cost money. The girl had a beautiful voice. But this part
seemed another cliche'.
We still have TV's weirdest minister. At least I don't think of
Michelle Dessler. Julia would respect others' beliefs. But her talk
about the old lady was strange. Would an athesist be talking about
seeing her late husband again? Some folks might tell her this was a
good time to reconsider her beliefs.
It looks like Julia and Tony won't be an item much longer.
Still, stay away from Sam-and all forms of Alex! The family tension's
probably due to Julia's unconventional beliefs. She could have become
a nun. Who ordained her?
Our grossout moments were Morris vomiting and Harold in the
shower. Neela didn't turn her head. Apparently her cousin fooled
around with, then repulsed, both guys.
Malik was around. Neela got to play a sport again. Maybe ortho
just needed another player. This is another strange bunch. At least
Pratt addressed the problem of dealing with other departments.
This was a so-so episode. Which Elvis movie would you compare it
with? Please send Skye away! Give Pratt the job. I hope Neela's
cousin doesn't return either. A local news promo briefly interrupted
the final moments. I forgot to complain about that.
Now who do we see about this show? It looks like the season's
ending sooner. What if it's one of the better endings? That could
also give this gang another year.
Sincerely,
Darren Thornton
