The first time she left, she followed her sister and the baby to live
closer to them. The second time she left, she took a position in
Iowa. There was a whole season around the fact that Keri Weaver hated
her which led to her departure.

Actually, you're referring to Sherry Stringfield, not Shiri Appleby who
played a new intern in some eppies this season.
