A great episode, IMHO, helped immeasurably by William H. Macy, in the first
worthwhile return so far of a former cast member, and Opie's father (Rance
Howard as his dying mentor).

Also, we got a lot of Leland Orser, which is a good thing. Easily the best
actor on the show. Why Neela goes for the sleazy Australian chump is beyond
me.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of cases in my own family similar to what was
portrayed tonight, i.e., the simultaneous collapse of body and mind, and
it's always heartbreaking. Of course, neither of my parents saved anybody's
life by writing two letters on a pad right before they died. Attribute that
feat to the power of television!

Well, piffle. The new HD converter box has been refusing to
acknowledge the presence of NBC for the last couple of weeks...
normally not a biggie.

Oh, right... NBC has the episodes online.

William H. Macy is a great actor.

I thought it was a lovely episode around the two old docs.
