Was anyone here in any doubt, early on, that the sister pushed the
girl off the wall? I mean, even before the "She pushed me"? How creepy
was that last part, smiling at how "great" it felt and then on the
gurney screaming that she was going to kill... what, her mom? Cate?
Daria? All of the above?

No doubt in my mind it was directed at Cate. Her mother was on the
left side of the gurney and the kid was looking that way, but her eyes
were not directed up, as they would be if she were looking at her
mother. She was laser-eyed at Cate.

Anyone else notice all the actors from other shows suddenly appearing
all over the place? The mom tonight was the lady cop from that story
line about Lewis' sister, and which eventually became a show on its
own.

It was already a show on its own; the two episodes involving that
plot were crossovers.

I did get that "cut you into little pieces" was meant specifically for
Cate - just wasn't clear on the rest of the invective (which would've
also made sense directed elsewhere).

Oh, this show has been the era's "Love Boat" for quite some time.

Ah, THAT'S where I'd seen her before.

You mean "Third Watch"? "Third Watch" was on for a couple of seasons
starting in September 1999 *before* those two crossover episodes with
"ER". The actress who played the mother on "ER" and played the "Lady
Cop" Officer (eventually Detective) Faith Yokus was Molly Price. She
has also done at least one "Law & Order" episode and had a role on
the short-lived "Bionic Woman". "Third Watch" went off the air in May
of 2005.

No doubt at all. Call her "Chicky". The people that produced this ep all
should be sent to prison for 30 days for blatant telegraphy. Gates is
supposed to be reasonably smart, but he was an idiot on this one.

What I found most disturbing was that the new intern with Gates looks just
like a younger MT. You can't get rid of her. Abby lives!

No doubt whatsoever.

Yeah, I was thinking to myself, "Wow, E.R. has like three eps left and
*now* they get some decent walk-on acting?" And especially a child actor.

But then I had to mop up the Mountain Dew from all over my keyboard that
sprayed out of my nose when Neela goes "Wow yeah, I can't remember the
last time I did a thoracotomy!" LIKE EVERY EPISODE SWEET CHEEKS!
