From the June 2-8 edition of TV Guide:
TVG: Does Pratt, Sam or Abby die in the ER finale's ambulance
explosion?
Executive Producer Joe Sachs says:
At least one person dies. It's our final season, so no one is safe.
Certainly everyone in the back of the ambulance was blown to bits.
Sam and/or Pratt may have been sitting in the front, where they'd be
gravely injured. Abby was very near the ambulance, but not in it, so
she has a better chance of surviving. Next season, we come back on
the scene minutes after the explosion, and you will discover who is
injured and who is in jeopardy. There will be a very, very dramatic
emotional effort to save one of the key characters. We're not pulling
any punches, it's a crazy, messy, chaotic, multi-victim trauma drama.
When the new chief of the ER arrives in the second episode, she will
find some post traumatic stress.
Maybe...trauma drama? Did he say trauma drama?!
