Chicago Subway

I was watching the season finale of ER and noticed the
scene where they panned out of the ER yard and you
saw the Chicago Subway running overhead. Have we
ever seen this view before? After 15 years I never
realized the subway ran that close to the hospital.


(Which raises the obvious question....why
didn't the writers have one of those trains
derail and some of the ER crew make a daring
resscue of survivors?)

I gathered the el was very close, but I also wondered if we ever got that
wide shot showing the full hospital before. It was the show's style to be
right up in the action, and it felt weird to see the whole building.
