I found last nights episode to be disturbing:
we had an immigration raid near here and ironically
the company was making stuff for the US Army.
what bugged me about the local raid here is hundreds of
illegal immmigrants were rounded up, families were
split up and many of them were shipped out of state.
Meanwhile the owners/management of the company who
were making big bucks on the backs of these illegal
immigrants got essentially a slap on the wrist.
IMHO don't touch the illegal immigrants until you're
ready to send company management to jail and come down as
hard on them as they do on the illegal immigrants.
In the local case not only did the illegals get deported,
the management got a slap on the wrist, got rewarded
by getting more army contacts, and getting further tax
breaks.
It's that double standard that really gets me.
Oh and did I mention the illegal immigrants should
be stopped at the border before they even get as
far as Chicago?
