TV Land awards
(too old to reply)

I was going to ask if anyone caught the TV Land awards segment on ER
tonight, but found it on Youtube. They won the Icon Award. Nothing too
earth shattering, but nice to see the actors (esp. the ones who played
the nurses - Yvette Freeman, Ellen Crawford) all dressed up.

I think Angela Bassett also presented for Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Btw, is there some way to get rid of the spam messages on the group?
Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's watching past episodes
starting from season 1...is there possibly any interest in reviewing
old episodes together?

Unfortunately no, unless one wanted to form a "moderated" group, and that's a
Pandora's Box to be well avoided here. :-)

I'm doing it on DVDs. I have them all through season 10, and season 11
is coming out in July. I'm up to season 4 now.

If you wish, Post a discussion with a title: "Season X, Ep. N {Ep. Name} Review" and
your review/issues. I'll re-watch it, and then I'll comment to get the discussion
going.

Fire away!

Do I need to remind people who have the DVDS they
can schedule their own marathon whenever they
want one?

You can even theme your marathon.

Are you trying to say that people who are watching ER "marathons" via
their own DVD collections cannot post thoughts and comments about the
episodes they're watching, simply because the episode has already aired
and been summarized/commented on???

Because if so, you really need to subscribe to a group like alt.tv.mash,
where the episodes have been dissected so many times that they now
resemble confetti... and yet, we're STILL ACTIVELY dissecting them!

No to the contrary they can post about them, even have others watch
the same episodes.

I would point out with the show on DVD there will be a constant flow
of new people discovering this show.

Dark Shadows was cancelled long ago but new people are still
discovering via the DVDs and the usenet newsgroup for Dark
Shadows is still very active.

The show will live on as long as dvds are still available.

It's amazing how many new people discover older shows.

Nope. No way to get rid of spam. (Although the spam level here is low
compared to other groups. )

And no before you suggest a moderated group I subscribe to several
moderated Usenet newsgroup and they get spam too.
