I've been watching Season Four for the first time since its original
airing lately, and most of these storylines are like new to me, since
I'd forgotten them.

Just got past the story arc in which Kerry had to let Jeanie go due to
bugetary reasons, only to have her assume that it was because of her
HIV status and fight her way back.

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is of this storyline. I think
Kerry made the right decision and was totally unbiased, as evidenced
by her willingness to go out of her way to find a job in Atlanta for
Jeanie. I know there are some Kerry haters here; do you hold an
opposite view?

Getting rid of an employee for "budgetary reasons" is largely a poor excuse
for incredibly bad management ... meanwhile the management concerned goes on
being paid an obscene salary plus bonuses which could easily pay the
employee's salary for years. Businesses should be (especially with the
current so-called "recession") pulling management salaries back to sensible
amounts and never paying "bonuses".

So I take it you believe Kerry was in the wrong here.

I think it was sloppy writing.
