Hey Sharon! How are ya? Are you getting enough snow? ;-) So far,
we've only received ice. blech!!! Ice is no fun unless you're in a
skating rink. ;-)

Are you still in touch w/ "Tennessee Sharon"? If so, tell her I said,
"Hi & Merry Christmas!" :-)

Vetgirl gets in touch with us regularly to update us on her eldest's stellar
track and field career, but, alas, since none of us are all that caught up
in ER anymore, we don't have the long chats we used to have.

I talk to Short, AKA Tennessee Sharon, fairly often and I'll pass along your
Christmas wishes to her. I know she'll wish the same to you.

Merry Christmas!

We ought to think about making arrangements to do an online chat for the
finale in March.

I hope all of you had a good Christmas. On the 11th we got snow in
our area. That doesn't happen a lot in Louisiana. But we got a huge
amount. Some made snowmen. I took a few photos.
Earlier that day my sister took my parents to the hospital. My
dad had surgery. He's still recovering, but doing well. There
should be a law limiting what can happen during the holidays. This was
a lot.
Unfortunately, the snow took down some trees and limbs. One
fell on our roof. The other side fell after Gustav. It hit the back
of my dad's truck. If I hadn't moved my car, it would have gotten
crushed. The roof leaks some.
A few of us lost power. Mine came back on minutes after ER
ended. I'd asked a relative to tape it for me. He forgot. How do
you access the shows online? I'll probably have to find a computer to
do it. Web TV has limits.

Sincerely,
Darren Thornton

All of NBC's shows are available online. I checked and the episode of
ER on 12/11 is there. So yes, I guess you do need to find someone
with a computer to either download it for you or let you watch it on
their computer. Here is the link:

Maybe...and I also hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I know....I saw that on TV. I was so jealous! ;-)

Is he still doing well? My aunt had a 2nd mastectomy on the 17th.
She's doing well except for a blood clot. It wories me. :-( But on
the bright side, no more mammograms!!! ;-)

You can go to NBC's site & watch. Just make sure you have fast
internet access; not dial-up.

This has been a weird year for weather. Louisiana's already
gotten more than its share. We had a tornado in May, then Gustav in
the fall. Both made the photos I took after Katrina look tame. We're
about two hours from New Orleans.
How long are the online episodes available? Is there a legal
way to tape them for viewing later? Does anyone know the length of the
last episode? That's when you take out the commercials.

The online eppies usually only have a couple of commercial breaks lasting no
more than a minute. The show itself will be about 44 minutes with a couple
more minutes of commercials. I don't believe it is possible to download
them from the NBC site. Maybe from iTunes, but they charge a fee for their
programming, usually a couple of bucks. I don't know if they carry ER.
Hulu is another good site to find TV shows you've missed. Once again, I
don't think they'll let you copy the show, as this is copyrighted material,

Shows are available online at NBC's website for months after they air.
Currently, every single eppy from this season is there, I suspect they will
remain there until sometime after the finale in March as TPTB are hoping
that, as they begin plugging the finale, former viewers who haven't watched
recently, will go online and catch up on this season and come back for the
big finish.
